The word processor doesn't allow me to adjust the line spacing.
Because all of the entries made are stored inside a database and not as individual files to ensure the proper back-up of your data the typical word processing feature of adjusting the line spacing is not available.  We felt that the use of the database to ensure proper backup of your data was more important than line spacing.

When I am in the word processor the tab button doesn't seem to work.
You can use the tab key inside the word processor but you need to hold down the Ctl. Key at the same time.  Because there are fields that data can be entered in the tab button will jump you from one field to the next.

The text on the Profile screen is cut off and I can't read the questions.
If the questions seem to wrap and make it impossible to read completely you probably have your screen font setting at "Large Fonts".  You need to change that by right-clicking on your desktop screen and open your properties and change the font setting to "normal".

The "Quote of the Day" doesn't change.
We have fixed that issue and a new update will be available to all registered users in October 2002.

How to adjust the color and resolution settings on your computer.
This program requires a screen resolution of 600x800 or higher.  We recommend your monitor settings to be 1024x768.  It is also recommended that you have your colors set above 256.  Although you may still use the software with the colors set to 256 it is not recommended.  If you need to change your display settings go to your start menu and go to settings.  Select display and from the display screen select the settings tab.  You may then change your settings.

I can only print one entry per page, can I change the settings?
Originally we felt that it would be helpful for organizational purposes to only have one entry print per page.  We are currently adding the feature to allow multiple entries per page.  Please check back to see when that feature is available.

How to backup to something other than the "A" drive (or floppy).
If you wish to backup your data to something other than a floppy drive all you need to do is copy the "Notable.mdb" file located in the Notable folder in your program files.  The reason we do not allow the backup to something other than a floppy inside of the program itself is because we have the system check for your most recent backup and it erases the entire disk before making the backup to ensure that there is only one copy of the latest file.

How to uninstall the software.
You need to use the "Add/Remove Software" feature in your control panel to uninstall the software.  This ensures proper removal of all related items.

Can I permanently change the default font setting?
At this point in time you cannot.  You may change the font settings each time you are in the word processor.  Please check back because we will offer this update sometime this year.

Can I change the date of the entries?
We are adding this feature and it will be available this year.  Please check back.

Can I import old journal entries from Word?
Yes you can.  We don't use an import function but you can copy and paste your entries into Notable from Word.
